William Corkhill

William Corkhill, founder and editor of The Readiness Directive

William Corkhill has spent more than thirty years responsible for quality, reliability and product integrity in products where a failure is a safety event, not an inconvenience: fire detection, life safety, security, and connected industrial systems.

That work has run the full distance, from the manufacturing line to the audit room to the board report. He has led quality at global and EMEA scale, owned new-product-introduction governance and supplier quality, and developed substantial post-market experience across products where evidence, traceability and timely decision-making matter. The Readiness Directive is where that experience is turned outward.

  • Senior quality, reliability and product-integrity leadership across regulated, safety-critical products
  • Global and EMEA quality remits in fire, electrical, life-safety and security businesses
  • New-product-introduction governance, supplier quality, and post-market experience
  • The operating disciplines behind defensibility: ISO 9001 quality management, CE conformity, CAPA, FMEA, change control, audit leadership and evidence-based governance
  • Based in Switzerland, in the Lake Geneva region, and available for selected board-facing and advisory mandates

The Readiness Directive is editorially independent. Its conclusions are not written on behalf of a client, vendor or commercial sponsor.
